Teaming Up with IMN to Aid the Garcia Family
On June 3, 2018, Guatemala experienced a catastrophic series of eruptions from the Fuego volcano, which was the country’s most severe volcanic eruption in 45 years. The eruption occurred with little warning, allowing almost no time for evacuation, and resulted in the deaths of nearly 200 people. Abraham Garcia Alvarez and his family were among those affected, tragically losing their daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren. Abraham and the surviving family members were left without a home.
Brush Arbor partnered with Barry Staley, a missionary with Independent Missionary Network, to assist the Garcia family in rebuilding. Their new home has been a great blessing during their time of need.
Independent Missionary Network
IMN is the result of a vision of its founder Keith Brutout, who has been led by the Lord to reach out to a cross-culture ministry. We exist to help Missionaries develop relationships that make Christ Known, demonstrate the Love of God, and bring the Gospel to all people groups.
Keith and his wife, Dawn work to support the missionaries of IMN and their calling from God into ministry. We believe that we are not sending missionaries into the mission field, but following and helping them with what and where they have been called to do by God. We believe that God calls each one of us and IMN comes alongside to help with their calling.
